Overview of Custom Order Process

This page serves as a general overview of the Yesterday's Trees Woodworking custom order process. Laying out this process in detail helps manage expectations and reduce confusion. We aim to provide a pleasant, streamlined experience for all of our clients from start to finish. 

*A formal outline is provided in the Custom Order Terms & Conditions. Please be aware this overview does not supersede any Terms & Conditions. 

1. Read and review the Custom Order Terms & Conditions.
2. Complete & submit the YTW Custom Order Questionnaire in Google Forms
3. YTW will follow up via the preferred method of contact in order to accept or decline inquires. If you haven't yet received a response, that doesn't mean your inquiry has been declined. 
4. After an inquiry is accepted, YTW will work with you to schedule a date, time, and location for initial consultation. In-person appointments are preferred, but alternatives can be discussed based on circumstances (On site visits may be required to obtain formal measurements and layout requirements). YTW will follow up with confirmation summarizing the details discussed. 

*YTW responds to inquires in the order they are received. Lead times may affect scheduling and availability.

Before the time of consultation, take time to make the following considerations:

• Determine information you deem important to your product's design before your initial appointment. These factors will vary depending on limitations, personal preference, and nature of the project. 

• What are the products essential requirements & features?
• What is the project's desired layout?
• What are the necessary dimensions? 
• What species of wood, colors, finishes, etc. are desired?
• Are there any additional materials such as metal, glass, or fabric? 
• What design styles & details should be included in the product?
• Are there any strict deadlines?

• Gather materials to help convey desired characteristics of the final product.
